How to use the VAZIT TOOL

   SAFETY FIRST

  • As with any tool use, always be aware of any dangerous situations
  • Be sure there are NO LIVE electrical wires in the outlet boxes
    before inserting the VAZIT TOOL
  • Wear protective clothing, gloves and eyewear
  • Keep your surrounding clean

Step 1

Insert the VAZIT TOOL inside electrical outlet box with prong facing out. You will need one VAZIT TOOL for each outlet box covered.

Step 1

Step 2

Install drywall sheet covering the electrical outlet(s) and attach only the top of the drywall sheet with screws or nails. Press the drywall sheet into the wall near the box to puncture the prong through the drywall. Once you've ensured that the entire heet of drywall is firmly attached and the VAZIT TOOL's pin(s) are portruding, proceed to the next step.

Step 2

Step 3

With a rotary tool (router) using a 1/8 inch drywall cutting bit, poke it through the drywall about 1/2 inch from the prong and start cutting toward the edge of the Vazit Tool. Move the bit to the outside of the Vazit Tool and begin cutting along the edge in a counter clockwise direction until you’ve gone all the way around the box.

Step 3

Step 4

Now remove the loose drywall cutout and tool by grabbing the tool's prong and pulling it out. Do the same for any other boxes behind the drywall and then finish attaching the sheet.

Step 4

Getting used to cutting out drywall with the VAZIT TOOL may take a couple of boxes before you really get the hang of it, but you should already notice how efficient the VAZIT TOOL can be.

If you run into any problems, watch the demonstration video on this site.

Whether you're a Pro or a Do-it-yourselfer, the VAZIT TOOL is a must have!
